I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my company “Hooking by the Sea Retreats”. My name is Vicki Graham and I live on beautiful Brier Island with my husband and son. I started rug hooking when a friend introduced me to the traditional art of rug making. Over the years it has evolved into one of a kind hand hooked specialty dyed rugs that have found homes all around the world.

To expand my knowledge and skills I have taken many workshops and advanced courses. I also belong to the Fundy Region Hooking Group and I am an associate teacher of the Rug Hooking Guild of NS in the teacher's branch.

Rug hooking has become my passion and I love to share my knowledge with fellow rug hooking friends and colleagues. I have mastered the unique art of dying wools and yarn and I have developed specialized kits that include unique patterns for the beginner to the advanced rug hooker.

Did you ever wonder how rugs were made and think I would like to do that? Did you see a nice piece of felted art work and think what I would give to be able to try something like that and see if I had a flair for creating art? Many of us are just to busy to sit down or we don’t even know where to start... Here is your chance to try some rug hooking or needle felting and see if you do enjoy the companionship that comes with spending time with fellow rug hookers.
